B-BBEE Guide

The information contained herein is a summary of some of the key provisions contained in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act, no. 46 of 2013, (the “B-BBEE Amendment Act”) which came into operation on the 24 October 2014, and the amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, which became effective during May 2015. The guide is issued as a general overview of the amended Codes, to highlight those aspects that will have to be faced in the future when meeting the challenge of empowerment.
